Chocolate Chip Maca Ball Recipe

Maca has long been used as a fertility food by both women and men. People in the Andes have grown maca for thousands of years, using it traditionally for everything from fertility problems to fragile bones and poor memory. Maca is rich in calcium, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. It has a fairly nutty taste that some don't love, but it pairs very well with nut butters. Here is my recipe for 30, Maca dosed balls ;-)

FERTILITY PREP PB CHOCOLATE CHIP MACA BALLS

1 cup packed Medjool dates, pitted

1 cup nuts (I used almonds and walnuts)

1/2 cup all natural peanut butter

4 TBS maca powder

3/4 cup rolled oats

3-4 TBS water

1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

Pulse, then process the nuts, dates and pb in a food processer until broken down and sticky (this is what holds it together).

Then add oats and Maca Powder and blend adding a tbsp of water at a time, until mixture looks crumbly, but holds together when you handle it.

Pour into a bowl, stir in chocolate chips, then measure out each ball with a tablespoon. (TIP: if too crumbly, you may need to process it more, or process with another Tbsp. of water)

Refrigerate in a Tupperware for up to 2 weeks or can be frozen for several months. I split this batch and put half in my freezer.
