For safety and support, we always go to births with two people, the Midwife and a Certified Birth Assistant. All of our Birth Assistants are certified in Neonatal Resuscitation, CPR & Birth Emergency Skills.

Office Manager & Certified Birth Assistant
I have worked with women and families in some capacity for 23 years. 13 years ago I became a birth doula and the rest is history! I am a lifelong learner so I have added many skills: pediatric sleep consultant, Hypnobabies childbirth instructor, postpartum doula and breastfeeding counselor. I assist families from pregnancy through age 6! I've been blessed to be in attendance as a birth doula to over 750 births and counting. I am excited to support families in this new role as office manager.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 4 boys and 2 daughter-in-laws, crocheting, reading and volunteering. My doula bestie and I run a free postpartum moms group in Waukee that meets twice a month. Every birth is unique and such a miracle. It's always a blessing to witness!
Deanna Snow
Certified Birth Assistant & Labor Doula
I have enjoyed working in the birth community for many years. When I was expecting my first baby 29 years ago I became a student of pregnancy and physiologic birth. I have been blessed with 9 children (and 7 grandchildren, so far). With each of my pregnancies and my love of learning this led to also mentoring and supporting young moms from pregnancy and beyond in several different states.
In the last few years I have been serving central IA as a birth doula and recently added Birth Assistant to my certifications. The wonder and gift of birth will never get old. I count it a privilege to assist families in any capacity that I can in this season of their life.
